My name is Jan Jinda (in a Internet world known as IcemanJ) and I’m from Czech Republic. I was born in smaller city Tabor. Since I was 11, I visited local Gymnasium. Around 2004 I discovered amazing world of 3d. I started in 3ds max r2, studying every tutorial which I found at the Internet. After long time I finally tried to create something by myself. Then I came across that CG is my life and I really wanted to work with CG, especially in movie industry. After grammar school I tried entrance exams at art universities in our country, I wasn’t successful. But I wasn’t disappointed, because they weren’t about CG at all. For my pleasure I started to work in game studio called Cinemax at Prague as a modeler. I was working on RPG game project Numen: Contest of Heroes. But after few months I find out that games are not for me. In the summer 2007 came offer from post-production house UPP. It was my little dream to work there from the beginning, so I was really excited and there wasn’t long decision making. In September 2007 I started to work at UPP on great project Nutcracker: Untold Story, directed by Andrei Konchalovsky (cooperating with Luma and Passion Pictures). After a year Nutcracker is finished, however I can’t show anything from my work on it, because release date is on next Christmas. I stayed in UPP and I’m currently working on some models for commercials and some other movies.
